@kai_schablewski from your second reference it looks like at least fallopia japonica also needs to be moved to reynoutria. Why do this peacemeal at the species level and not at the genus level? It'd be less work for anybody who has identified these plants.
Only 'Fallopia japonica' has to be moved too as you mentioned correctly. But what do you mean by moving it at the genus level? Fallopia is still a valid genus with the species that are left there.
I guess that makes sense, but now I'd have to manually move everything over that I've ever ID'd as genus fallopia. Probably better to discuss this on the forums rather than here though, it seems like a more general problem.
