But this fire, the biggest "by far" of any that shelter Executive Assistant Janet Tedder has experienced in her 10 years there, has resulted in an unrelenting procession of pets being brought to Haven Humane for temporary refuge. By 10 a.m. Friday, they had accepted around 200 additional animals, bringing the shelter's current number of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and livestock to 500, spread out across the eight acres of their property.
