Inspired to take wildlife photography years ago by Stephen Kirkpatrick's book "Wilder Mississippi" in which he took up the challenge to capture the beauty of his own "backyard" (aka home state). Taught to appreciate the smallest things by my biology friend @danielmcnair.

I have a special affinity for birds, butterflies, and turtles. I love creatures great and small (except mosquitos - honestly not a fan).
