I'm in training to be a Texas Master Naturalist as part of the Blackland Prairie Texas Master Naturalist chapter in North Texas, Class of 2024. I'm also a Collin County Master Gardener Intern, Class of 2023, just a few weeks away from certification.

I am a retired engineer, love bulleted lists, and working with my family to convert our yard into a sequence of gardens, including ones that target butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators. We strive to plant only native plants in said gardens.

I also dream about growing the produce we love to eat. The scorching heat, glaring sun, and persistent pests have taken their toll the last few years.

I hate running errands, cleaning, "picking up", laundry, and all other chores that don't include the outdoors. Gratefully, hubby doesn't mind them.
