I am passionate about the local flora of the Puget Sound and Cascades regions. I teach Middle School Earth and Life Sciences and require students to create a plant collection of 50 different species. Most have enjoyed the experience of looking closely at what surrounds them every day and are amazed at the diversity of life surrounding them. These collections are treasured keepsakes and even students from 20+ years ago still comment on that valuable experience.
