I'm currently a field botanist working for OSU in the shrub-steppe of E OR and WA. In my own time, I try to identify as many taxa as I can find, but I tend to focus on lichen, bryophytes, and forbs. Ethnobotany got me interested in plants, but now I find myself drawn towards the ecology and evolutionary history of the biotic and abiotic things I encounter. Every taxon has a long and unique story to be uncovered!
