I volunteer for a non-profit fungi identification site named Mushroom Observer. My main interest is in gilled fungi, with preference for blue and green staining mushrooms. I try to teach people simple tips like how to view cells with a microscope. I also have been working on a guide illustrating dominant and not-so-dominant taxonomic characters to help identify fungi with more accuracy. One day I hope to have my own personal lab to conduct deeper taxonomic studies, including chemical tests.
