I am an IT engineer and an independent naturalist/linguist, which I enjoy combining in my research, teaching, and software development projects.

I live in Vanuatu, where I teach computer science and collaborate with the New York Botanical Garden, the Vanuatu Department of Forests, the National University of Vanuatu, and BirdLife International on nature and language research projects in the country. Since 2014 I have been working with the "Plants and People of Vanuatu" project: https://pvnh.net/plants-and-people-of-vanuatu

I am interested in the ethnobiology and cultural significance of animals and plants in our linguistically diverse country. In Vanuatu fauna in particular, I specialize in birds and reptiles with growing knownedge of spiders and weevils.
