Reinstein Woods is holding a bioblitz from June 1st- June 8th. Join us by observing life found in the 292 acres of Reinstein Woods! From sun up to sun down visit the woods and record and post observations. On June 8th there will be a plant and bird guided walk with a staff person. This will be part of the larger event of Get Together and Get Outdoors Day, which will have activities for families, organizations tabling, and more! At the end of the day there will be a closing ceremony to recap the bioblitz and what was found at the preserve.

Starting June 1st all observations made on iNaturalist at Reinstein will automatically be included in the bioblitz. The Bioblitz will start on Saturday June 1st at 8 am and end on Saturday June 8th at 1:00 pm.

Saturday June 8th is Get Outdoors and Get Together Day and Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve is hosting a day full of events for the family. In addition to the exciting programs there will be a bioblitz plant walk and bird walk hosted by Reinstein Woods staff.

The tour will be an hour long walk on the trails. The goal of the walks is to document what we find to help get a better understanding of what calls Reinstein Woods home.

On June 1st there will be a program at 2:00 pm to teach anyone 13+ how to use iNaturalist. It will be held at Reinstein Wood's Education Center. To register call (716) 683-5959. Sign up if you or your friends or family are interested in learning more about how to use app and web version of iNaturalist. This is a free program.

Closing Ceremony: 1:30pm -2:00 pm

Meet at the white tent stationed near the beginning of the trails. Follow the brick path from the parking lot. The closing ceremony will be held outside.
