A field note is the basic record of a biologist's observations. The field notebook is the most important first step of a long way consist of data collection, mapping, analyzing, interpretation and presentation. It is also the first record and the most complete record of raw data of a certain observation.
" From field notes to scientific publications " is an interactive session that will be conducted by Mr. Salindra K. Dayananda, (@salindra) exploring various aspects of a field notebook and how it leads the way to scientific publications.

ක්ෂේත්‍ර සටහනක් යනු ජීවවේදියෙකුගේ නිරීක්ෂණ ඇතුලත් මූලික වාර්තාවයි. ක්ෂේත්‍ර සටහන් පොත යනු දත්ත එකතු කිරීම, සිතියම් ගත කිරීම, විශ්ලේෂණය, අර්ථ දැක්වීම, සහ ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් සමන්විත දිගු ගමනක ඉතාමත් වැදගත් පළමු පියවර වේ. එය කිසියම් නිරීක්ෂණයක පළමු වාර්තාව මෙන්ම වඩාත් සම්පූර්ණ දළ දත්ත වාර්තාව ද වේ.
