Found on South Brighton Beach
I am guessing that these are fish as they were hanging out in the Tutukaka marina
Baby eel I think. I tried to save it. But I think it had been put of the water too long unfortunately
nazca booby diet sample
As usual, not sure what this juvenile fish is. Found dead on the high tide line about 90 mins after high tide

Very lucky to see a pair of cute juveniles just on a floating leaf moving towards shore. Sadly it was choppy so quite disappointed I didn't get any extraordinary shots but oh well.
Not sure if these are pipefish or seahorse?
I also saw a creseidae pteropod but couldn't get a shot.
~1.5cm long
Maybe. Alive on the wet beach. Put it back out to sea (the tide line was about 20m from it at that point)
Looks like the same as a previous observation of these cool looking larval fish just a younger one: https://inaturalist.nz/observations/135866086

Huge balls of these baitfish being devoured by trevally, koheru, kahawai etc.
