INSANE purple staining! Pretty sure it's a basidiomycete. Under tanoak & redwood. Fruiting out of an exposed dirt wall next to a creek. Fruiting body exposed. Nutty smell, and no taste.

Bright yellow pileus, sticky, dry, brown scale-like remnants on top. Stipe short, tapered bulbous base, thick rusty brown cortina remnants. Lamellae yellow/brown, slightly serrated, narrowly attached. Flesh white, firm, brown staining in maggot tunnels.
KOH slowly staining deep red on cap and lighter red on internal flesh
