At historic pull off along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Many cicadas could be heard, but saw no evidence of molting or tenerals. This one dead organism was on a picnic table.

Male. Same size as the little M. tredecassini but with some orange on abdomen (no orange between eye and wing)
Could also be a M. septendecula one year early (from Brood XIV)?
