What type of plant is this? Appears to be some type of milkweed. Not sure if native to Missouri.
A set of images from within a week ago with a visit to heart of the Ozarks - (northwest Arkansas and north of Eureka Springs or in vicinity - and into the Oak-Hickory-Pine forests. Land Surveys conducted - caves explored - creeks mapped out and general “off the grid” living where ticks wait and Copperheads hide. Rich habitat with great variety of organisms to observe from a log cabin and along the trails.
