Collected as part of a long-term biodiversity project on Huntingdon College’s Bowman Ecological Reserve n. of Prattville AL. Principal investigators: Paul Gier and Jim Daniels. Each month on the new moon we run a black-light bucket trap on a hillside overlooking a meadow and forest. Specimens over about 4mm in length (or 12mm for moths) are identified and counted. This project has been running since April 2023.
~3 mm dark brown body with antennal clubs and longitudinal rows of punctures on the mesosoma and elytra. Found inside a bucket just above the water level.
At the base of an old eucalyptus where a creek runs into bay.
