This little bug (1-2 mm) was emitting tiny flashes of light in the dark every second or two.
Also known as Luciola luchnus: Blue Mountains Firefly. First of the summer.
Rescued this firefly from the swimming pool. It had small insects using it as a raft. It prised them off its legs & abdomen & walked away.
