An unusual sight in the yard any more. Easterns are here every day.
Note what seems to be dried blood by the squirrel's shoulder. Is this the same young squirrel that was crippled, apparently around the left shoulder ( https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/213607359 and https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/212457338 ) or is it that squirrel's sibling, wounded in the same place? We seem to have only one of these young squirrels in the yard now, though it's possible that they're just not keeping company as closely as they did at first.
Squirrel was harvesting bark for nesting material.
