Found washed up on shore on Last Mountain Lake. A gelatinous green ball range from 1 to 2 cm
Large fungi, on grass but have seen them in boreal forest. I think they may be trainwrecker but am not sure.
I think this is turkey tail or at least a closely related species.
Last photo was taken on July 26. It was quite the prolific patch!
Found growing in grass under dying white spruce. Smelled like old barn. Likely quite old, did not drop spores over 3 day spore print period.
Unlikely to be C. brunneum based on elaborate ring and thinner stem.
Unlikely to be C. olivieri based on convex and incurving cap.
