Taken in 500 feet of water in the gulf stream at a depth of 45 feet
I photographed this specimen on a ship where it was displayed for observation by a dive team conducting a Nearshore Ecological Survey. Coordinates are for the collection site. ID is a CV suggestion or broader - I am happy to withdraw or correct it.
With what was a much larger than in Bolinopsis microptera in its gut.
Snorkeling at night at a tide pool.
Lots of water movement and algae made it a bit hard to find stuff.
But it was full of life.
So amazing in such a small area.
Hard to see very well but is a jellyfish found in a water sample taken from Wollaston Beach, unsure what species
