Seems to be this taxon based on bract length and dense hair on calyx and stem? Not what to make of this patch. Currently dominated by tamarix and various disturbed ground invasives, but Ambrosia cheniipodifolia and Phacelia paryii also present. At a loss whether these are deliberate guerilla plantings, survivors of some very specialized native wildflower mix, or accidental introduction in soil from restoration efforts. Incidentally, Ambrosia pumila grows as an apparent weed in the otherwise nicely landscaped garden by the chancellors complex .
