Not the best image quality from my iPhone, but the number of P. poliocephalus at this roost appears to have increased. ~100 individuals sighted in this area of the roost, and few near the edges pictured here.
Looks similar to a Pseudomys sp. (delicatulus?).
Long tailed; pale coloured at base.
(Unsure if tail is scaly or not)
Ears ¿Large?
Hazelnuts are a favourite food over other nuts.
Loves nutritional yeast flakes.
There are three in this group; one of whom is 2/3 irds the size of the larger two.
Active during the day. (e.g. nuts are taken during daylight hours).
They've been around since Spring 2023 and haven't increased in numbers as at May 2024.
Initially, they frantically moved indoors - as far indoors as possible; but we encouraged them outside. Ground-dwelling as they're not climbers.
They are very shy and sensitive to eye contact. Some small nibbles at ¿parasol? pleated mushrooms see during April 2024.
