Pictured underneath fishing jetty at night in 1-5m of water within a tidal estuary with a silty bottom. Thanks to Karena Gonsalves for letting me borrow her camera!
Back on Deck after a covid holiday. A rare find considering the location, this Frogfish was photographed at the end of the Busselton Jetty in 10m of water. It was sheltering inside a large metal tank. Very hard to spot the lure gave it away. Amazing what the Leuwin Current brings along with it.
thought was little weed whiting at first but shape of stripe/red eye more likely juvenile maori wrasse?
could be very juvenile banded sweep as also in area but unsure as markings different, more yellow on back and fins
Pictured at night in 2-8m of water in and around granite boulders which form a groyne.
