This is a picture of Choristoneura parallela at the Mckeldin Area of Patapsco Valley State Park in Carroll County, Maryland.
Blacklighting at Bill Baggs with permission. This was at a sheet I set up flat on the boardwalk (too windy to hang up). I lit it up with two blacklights hooked up to USB battery packs. Interesting seeing which insects were around the dunes!
Full moon and windy conditions limited how many insects I got (there were almost no mosquitoes, a bad sign when it comes to blacklighting). See link at the bottom for details about my various set ups for the night and my 2024 CNC in general.
