Red Knot? Observing and helping people that are tagging shorebirds on the Birds of the Broome Region Course, which is run by the Broome Birds Observatory
Stills from a video, at least 3 individuals present but maybe just one here. White-capped would be most common, but is there enough of the underwing visible to rule out Black-browed or Buller's/Yellow-nosed?
A yellow-nosed albatross "joined by a flesh-footed shearwater, fast and agile, above rocking waves..." according to my diary entry.
