This hatchling guttatus was found in the Rockhampton region just out side Rockhampton itself and isn’t a translocation just a random tiny pocket that has them for some reason.
One comefirmed recorded of a spotted black in this region in the mid to high 1900s now this one and a handful more

Surprise encounter on the Winter Solstice.
On the side of a forest bush track on one of the first sunny days for many weeks, Dendrophilia Nature Refuge, far north Qld, Australia. Over 2 metre long, quite yellow, in very healthy condition. Is it a ssp. of Morelia spilota?
