Fist-sized cones, 6-8 inch needles in groups of 3,
Sorbus scopulina? Similar observation to @jerry-bird and @daisybird
I've been curious about this grass for a few years: seems to be invasive? It showed up in the Bear Wallow Riparian Area over a decade ago, just upstream from where it flows under the road. Since then it's been traveling down the drainage and I suspect it's already gotten veery near the junction with Upper Sabino. At the end of the growing season, it's 6 feet tall and crowds everything else out of the moist areas.
Does anyone know what it is and if there's management for it?
