Small orange astipitate Ascomycetes
Found on soil under leaf litter
Orange to brown and tan cap with slender stipe. Cap slightly conical with cream gills that are adnexed to cap. Found in wet grassy ground in clusters.
Viscid cap decurrent gills. Growing in the grass under a small birch and cherry tree
Habitat found: hardwood forest, growing on branches
Description: top vibrant colors from dark brown-orange at center to orange-yellow on the edge, wavy edges, growing in clusters
Habitat found: conifer logs and stumps, growing on a log
Description: hard rounded hoof shape with brown-orange center to yellows ish-white edge, bottom is white with clear droplets, no visible stipe
Habitat found: coniferous forest, growing in fallen needles
Description: pileus viscid and smooth at cap pale gray yellow fading into white in color, stipe is thin and fragile from yellow with green in color
Habitat found: mixed hardwood and coniferous forest, growing in litter of redwood leaves
Description: pileus surface is moist cap dark brown into white in color, gills are narrow, stipe is slender grayish brown
Gills observed to be adnate before the cap was opened more to get picture. The color of the mushroom was more yellow than the picture leads on. Growing from the soil with wood debris and fresh grass. No distinct odor.
Observed next to the health services building. Growing in wood mulch.
