On a blade of Alaria marginata in the low intertidal. Side of finger for scale
Found in a rocky shallow area right off shore
I have never seen yellow fish in the Pacific Northwest! It was amazing to see these friends in a tidepool full of sea urchins off Drake point at Cape Arago.
It's easiest to get to this side of the point from the South Cove trail. Follow the paved path from the southeast part of the parking lot. There will be a large sign marking the trail head. The path becomes unpaved and narrow (often muddy) for the last 100 feet.
