This was the solitary violet I saw in the area.
Locally common on a north aspect, just below a broad ridgeline, in mid to late flower. Last photo is of habitat / ground.
Photo 1 shows an 8+ petaled flower, which is a bit unusual for the species. The other photos show a nearby plant, with 6 (I think petals). Many individuals here have >5 petals.
Locally common, in early to mid flower here, just below Peak 7800.
Occasionally buttercups will bloom right at or below the edge of a receding snow patch, like this one here.
