Growing in crevices on a talus slope. This area was a gravel quarry historically. Presumably, this species must have occurred on naturally exposed rock formations prior to the blasting. Two distinct patches found, appearing to have anywhere from 3-8 individuals.
@brucen I don't think this species has been recorded here before, so I imagine someone at Willamalane would probably be interested to know about it.
Growing on a very steep slope. Though there may be as many as two dozen individuals here, all but one had had been mostly eaten by deer. The one that hadn't was perched on top of a slab of rock that makes it hard to approach.

I knew this species was here, but haven't seen it for a couple of years.
on shoulder of Jasper-Lowell Rd in Fall Creek. Dominating the gravelly verge, adjacent to the pavement.
Clone appears all female. Plant bases black. Rhizomatous.
