Leaves more subtle than usual for P. picta.
Not many wildflowers still in bloom on Mt. Townsend, but there were a few Lupinus arcticus or Arctic Lupine flowers, looking kind of stunted.
A few Platanthera elegans (Elegant Rein Orchid) bloomed among dried grasses.
One of half a dozen Leptasterias hexactis we found at the farthest area we searched, this one in a clam shell. We saw it during the annual PTMSC intertidal survey at Kinzie Beach.
