on stone covered in moss. spore size (7.2) 7.6 - 9.5 (9.8) × (4) 5.3 - 5.9 µm, Me = 8.5 × 5.4 µm ; Qe = 1.6. Basidia with 4 sterigmata, no cystidia, no clamps.

On Ulota drummondii itself on Sorbus aucuparia bark

Sheep skull collected from a nearby field months prior, now has visible Horn Stalkballs

in a mixed, mostly coniferous woodland

Just got the DNA results back for this. A 99.5 match to the holotype from Wales.
This is the first confirmed specimen from England.
Much larger than the Welsh holotype with cap up to 60mm across.

Although I see all of these colours in G. psittacinus I've never seen them all in one before.

Growing within a couple of yards of 50+ unmistakable shaggy parasols. Automated suggestion is that these were some kind of bolete. Definitely not - they were gilled, not pored.

Blue/green stem. Growing beside our Yew in our garden. There was also a patch of smaller sized, blue fungi close by; this was the biggest.

Oak deciduous woodland. Pale brown spores. Purple brown flesh. Medium brown adnexed gills.

A rare find. Small yellow Hygrocybe with red papilla.

What’s wrong with these acorns? Virtually all on this tree are like the photo.
