Excellent find! Host and morphology are a good match to O. elongata—uncommon.

Approx 1.5m high, open canopy along wide trail/old dirt road. Early single fruiting body formation. Host: media or slim major C. floridanus.

Apheloria virginiensis with Arthrophaga myriapodina. Dead and hanging on a branch in the woods

Found along creek, forget specific trees/shrubs. All underground. Found about 15 in a small 50 x 50 patch.

ID tentative.
I broke thru the wood hoping to identify the host. Nada.
I did find a bunch of what I think were very young millipedes (198023951)

Growing from what might be a sweat bee (you can see what was recovered of the host in one close up). Very hard to retrieve host from wood.
