There are still some old open-grown oaks in the Muckleshoot Prairie area SE of Seattle, though I'm not sure that there is any actual prairie remaining. The largest, which is growing in the middle of the pumpkin field, looks to be about 5 ft. dbh. I actually only saw about a dozen oaks in the entire prairie, and I saw no evidence of oak regeneration.
