Can anyone help educate me on the mouth of weedy seadragons?
Every description I find refers to the pipe-like terminal mouth, also referred-to as a tiny teeth-less mouth at the end of a snout.
However, after they caught a shrimp, i have seen several weedies open their tiny snout-mouth in what seemed like a yawn, but also open what seems to be another mouth, just below their eye.
See these 3 photos taken minutes apart to illustrate what I mean:

Photo 1/ shows the "second" mouth open below the eye, as if it was masticating.
Photo 2/ "mouth below the eye" closing, "snout mouth" opening like a yawn.
Photo 3/ regular stace, both "mouths" closed.
