Taken at a depth of ~7 feet, this man-made pond bottom is colonized by the highly-invasive aquatic plant Hydrilla verticillata.
The infestation is dense, 90-95% dominated by hydrilla. Plants have been recorded at lengths over 25 feet! This pond is an example of hydrilla's ability to out-compete native plant life.
