Although there were no photos captured of the oral cavity, it was observed that the oral cavity was yellowish. Referring to Ota (1989) regarding the Short-legged Japalura( Japalura brevipes): the upper half inside the mouth is dark gray, and the lower half is grayish-pink. According to Ota, Chen & Shang (1998) describing the Lues Japalura( Japalura luei): the buccal cavity is pale yellowish-pink. Based on this information, it was determined to be a Lues Japalura. Literature notes the historical presence of this species in the area, and I'm grateful to a senior who previously mentioned having seen a Lues Japalura there in August, allowing me to personally locate it.
