With 2,689 observations submitted to the Vermont Atlas of Life in July, it certainly wasn't easy for last months winner Laura Gaudette to select a few for us. I think you'll agree though that she has found some real gems!. As always, if you are reading this and are a registered iNaturalist observer, you can vote (once) by replying to this post with the number of the photo-observation you like best. We usually ask the winner to make the next month selections.

5 Lots of good pics, but I can't pass up a good predation event. And since I have a hard time with fritillary ID, that's one less I need to worry about. Nice shot!
6 - love it is! and they formed a heart...........
3 for quaint artistic style.
2: I still love it after seeing it days ago.
1 - great color, great detail and clarity, and so many eyes smiling at me.
wish I could vote more than once. That is a good spider shot Bob.
6 Mating damselflies always make unique and interesting photos!
1 I like the direct look and photo clarity
1 A great portrait with stunning clarity.
5
I may be a bit biased, but I was there for #5 and is was very cool (although not for the butterfly).
1, love the eyes!
1, seems to be posing for the picture
Again, all great pics, but #5 takes the cake. Both the predator and the prey are sharp and in focus, and what an amazing and unique event to capture in such high quality! Great find!
1 That is a clear shot and I too like the head on shots, even for birds.
