Explore the outdoor areas of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History (including the Backyard) and help us record the biodiversity of live species (plants, animals, birds, insects) that live on-site.

How it works:

1. Download iNaturalist.
2. Become a member of the project.
3. Explore the museum campus using the I-Naturalist app.
4. When you observe an interesting native species (plant, animal, insect) go to "Add an Observation"
5. Take a clear photograph of the species.
6. Identify it and fill out the coordintates. (Need help identifying? Visit the Curiosity Lab or use the app. to get feedback).
7. Post it to the project.
