7th Anacostia River Bioblitz

Sorry for being so late and still working on advertising... Next week will be our 7th Anacostia River Bioblitz https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/7th-anacostia-river-bioblitz

Due to a variety of reasons the bioblitz will be more "low key" this year with only one public event on Saturday, September 16th 10 AM to 1 PM at Kenilworth Park, the southern section (NOT the aquatic gardens) on Deane Ave: https://www.anacostiaws.org/location/5-kenilworth-park.html

We will meet in the southern part of Kenilworth Park on Deane Ave (NOT the aquatic gardens): https://www.anacostiaws.org/location/5-kenilworth-park.html and then we will hike north to see meadows, riparian forests, tidal marshland and the Anacostia River! Bring biodiversity field guides and waterproof shoes or rubber boots especially if you would like a closer look at the aquatic ecosystems. It will be a walk of approximately 1 mile roundtrip which may include muddy sections.
