This week 42 observers made 148 observations between Sunday, January 17, 2021 to Saturday, January 23, 2021. Among the top five observers, @carrieseltzer observed 25 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @dtread1 contributed 20; @stephen220 contributed 14; @bill-blauvelt contributed 11; and @epic2112 and @vwiest each contributed 7. Rounding out the top 10, @lauriedkr contributed 6; @jenhersh and @wilperms contributed 5; and @rauvbbj contributed 4. 14 people contributed one observation, 7 people contributed two observations, and 5 people contributed 3 observations. Birds stayed in first place (84 observations), followed by Plants (30 observations) and Fungi (11 observations). Ray-finned fishes (Actinopterygii) and Mollusca were the least observed Taxons, with 1 observation.

Thanks, @jmgconsult! I had a great time at Fort Dupont yesterday. A gem of a place with many fewer people on the trails compared to some of the more frequented parks. In case anyone else plans to visit, I recommend referring to OpenStreeMap as the trails shown on both Google Maps and NPS are either incomplete (NPS) or incorrect (Google).
