Hello! my name is Lux Johnson and I am a biology undergraduate student at Washington State University.

I am currently working as an undergraduate research fellow, focusing on novel inorganic pigment synthesis and characterization. Additionally, I am involved in research on the conservation ecology of endangered butterflies in the Pacific Northwest.

I am interested in continuing to graduate study in Pacific Northwest native freshwater snail phylogenetics and general malacology, with a particular interest in Fluminicola spp. In my free time, I create scientific illustrations and am currently developing a novel binder from Pacific Northwest native organic materials for fine art paint applications.

I am intermittently active on iNaturalist, but feel free to tag or message me, and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
