I'm a plant biologist and genomics field applications scientist based in the Pacific Northwest. My PhD is in Ecology and Evolution and my graduate and postdoctoral research focused on plant ecological epi-/genomics in estuarine, polar, and invasive species across three continents, as well as on plant fungal and bacterial endosymbionts. I taught botany and biodiversity courses at the University of South Florida for 5 years and have a strong working knowledge of plant and fungal taxonomy in Florida. Now that I live on the other side of the continental US, I primarily use iNaturalist to continue to expand my knowledge of taxonomy.
