What a strange area. The Tessaria plants (if that's what they even are) that grow there all look different. Some look like Tessaria fastigiata, some look like Tessaria dodonaeifolia, some look like Pluchea, and others look like combinations of all three.

I even see what looks like a striped stem, characteristic of Pluchea microcephala, on this observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/109593655.

There's definitely some funky stuff going on here!
