Habitat Type 2

Known from relatively few herbarium specimens, considering its wide range. Reported as locally rare in parts of its range and common in others.
This orchid has been collected over a wide altitudinal range from about 140 m to 1,200 m. It is reported to grow in deep shade, often in very humid sites, in lowland forests, semi-deciduos forests, gallery forests, swamps and marshes, premontane/montane and cloud forests.

Description 2

A small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial orchid with a stout, glabrous, pinky brown with pale flecked stem carrying towards the apex only, medium green with slight velvety sheen above, paler and dull below, sucate mid nerve, fleshily ribbed, elliptic, undulate margins, acute, basally clasping leves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, short, racemose, pinky green, pubescent, several flowered inflorescence
Flowering specimens have been collected from September to March.
