Description ²

Flowering ca 1m high, leaves up to 8cm long, sheaths large, merging with brown ligulate blades, broadly acute up to 10cm wide. Floral bracts densely imbricate and cover the rhachis, broadly elliptic-oblong, obtuse which slightl exceed the floral bracts. Petal blades are violet, 6mm long.
