Description ²

Epiphytic, tank-forming bromeliad, from 0m – 300m asl. Flowers about 50cm tall, has about 8 leaves forming a funnelform rosette, with appressed scales and serrulate margins with spines – 1mm long. Has a lax inflorescence with pale lepidote floral bracts, divergent flowers with purple petals and white margins.
