Lottia limatula is a species of sea snail, a true limpet, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Lottiidae, one of the families of true limpets.
Common along the shores of the lake in 2014, this limpet generally prefers marine habitats with higher salinity. This limpet was not present in the lake in the 1960s and 1970s according to Jim Carlton, so it might be a recent arrival from the greater Bay.
