The Violet Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx xanthorhynchus) is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.

In Singapore, it is an uncommon breeding resident.

The male is unmistakable with its violet plumage and orange bill. The female has bronze upperparts, thinly-barred face and underparts, and a yellow bill. The juvenile looks like the female, but with rufous upperparts and a dark bill.
