A perennial species, Stonecrop has thick, succulent leaves borne in basal clusters called rosettes. The leaves, which are often described as glaucous, can sometimes appear as if they have been coated with a thin layer of dust. The brilliant yellow flowers are borne on one-sided branches of a spreading cyme.
This species is found in rocky places below 2200m in Coastal Ranges throughout California
